Beach’s regular garbage, recycling, and standard bulky items pickup has resumed normal pickup. No yard waste will be picked up this week. Neptune Beach says yard debris pickup has started, and will take place on normally scheduled days. They’re asking you to place the debris curbside, in un-bagged piles. In Clay County, curbside garbage service has been suspended through Wednesday, September 13th. It will resume Thursday and continue on a normal schedule. The Rosemary Hill Solid Waste Management Facility will be open normal hours- 7:30AM through 5:30AM- starting Wednesday. Beginning Saturday, September 16th, yard waste that meets Advanced Disposal service standards will be picked up, including leaves, grass clippings, and small yard debris bagged in a 40-gallon or smaller can or heavy-duty plastic trash bag, not exceeding 50 pounds. Stumps, trees, and limbs may not exceed four feet in length or 50 pounds in weight, for a total of no more than five cubic yards. They will announce a schedule for large Irma-related debris soon. St. Johns County is starting to catch up with solid waste services. Pickup for standard yard debris is suspended, set to resume Monday, September 18th. The recycling collection scheduled picks back up on Friday, September 15th. On Wednesday, September 13th, there will be household waste pickup for anyone who’s typical pickup was supposed to be Monday, September 11th, and Tuesday, September 12th. On Thursday, September 14th, pickup will take place for those normally scheduled for Wednesday, September 13th, and Thursday, September 14th. The standard schedule resumes Friday. They’ve also started their Hurricane Irma debris collection program. In the coming days, St. Johns County will begin collecting storm-related debris, including branches, limbs, brush, leaves, and routine yard waste. We’re told collection resources have been secured, and contractors will be making multiple passes through the County. You’re asked to move storm debris curbside, until cleanup is done.
