Hartselle Civic Center.On Nov. 11, from 9 a.m.-noon, electronics will be collected in Decatur at the Street and Environmental Services Complex in conjunction with the household hazardous chemical collection day.Electronics such as computers, hard drives, computer parts, printers, fax machines, phones, laptops, gaming systems, and flat screen LCD monitors will be accepted. Appliances or glass screen (CRT) monitors/TVs will not be accepted.For information, call 256-612-6766.The event is open to homeowners and businesses in Morgan County, and hard drives will be destroyed upon request. All materials collected will be broken down into parts for recycling. Nothing will be reused or refurbished.The collections are being coordinated by the Alabama Cooperative Extension System, Morgan County Environmental Services and the cities of Hartselle and Decatur.
