A man was going through the dumpster behind Little Caesar's, near 12th Avenue and Valencia Road, on Tuesday when he found the skull, according to Sgt. Pete Dugan, a police spokesman. He called police. Responding officers agreed that the skull appeared to be human and contacted the medical examiner's office, Dugan said. A forensic anthropologist is expected to examine the skull next. Dugan said it was unclear whether the skull had been used for educational purposes or whether there was foul play involved.
